Hollywood has its fair share of hot properties.

Blockbuster actors. Leading men. Red-carpet regulars.

But some of the biggest names in movies enjoy a different kind of heat.

The kind that comes with wooden benches, hot stones and absolutely no dress code from the costume department.

Welcome to Hollywood’s hot side.

1. Chris Pine — Star Trek Meets Sauna Trek

To Boldly Sweat Where No Man Has Sweated Before

Chris Pine has travelled across galaxies as Captain Kirk in Star Trek.

But back on Earth, his favourite destination might be a little closer to home.

During a 2023 interview with Esquire, Pine invited the journalist into his personal sauna in the Hollywood Hills.

He added essential oils to the heater, adjusted the atmosphere and settled in for a proper sauna session.

Forget the captain’s chair.

Sometimes the best seat in the house is a sauna bench.

2. Jasper Pääkkönen — From Vikings to Sauna King

Winter Is Coming. Turn Up the Heat.

Finnish actor Jasper Pääkkönen is known internationally for his roles in Vikings and Spike Lee’s BlacKkKlansman.

But away from Hollywood, he’s become something of a sauna superstar.

Jasper helped create Löyly, a spectacular public sauna destination overlooking the Baltic Sea in Helsinki.

With traditional wood-fired and smoke saunas, the venue has become an international attraction.

Most actors dream of owning a production company.

Jasper went one better. He opened a sauna.

3. John C. McGinley — Scrubs, Sweat and a Hollywood Sitcom

The Doctor Is In. The Sauna Is On.

John C. McGinley became a television favourite playing Dr Cox in Scrubs.

But his real-life love of saunas ended up inspiring another television comedy.

In 2026, McGinley revealed that producer Bill Lawrence had visited his home sauna and later asked to borrow elements of his life for the HBO series Rooster, starring Steve Carell.

Imagine enjoying a sauna with a friend and discovering that your routine might become part of a television show.

Only in Hollywood could sitting in a hot room become a plot development.

4. Harris Dickinson — The Actor Who Likes It Hot

From the Red Carpet to the Steam Room

British actor Harris Dickinson has appeared in films including Triangle of Sadness and Babygirl.

But away from film sets and premieres, he’s drawn to experiences that get him out of his head.

In a 2024 profile, Dickinson visited a traditional Russian bathhouse and discussed his enjoyment of saunas, swimming and cold water.

No cameras flashing. No film critics.

Just a little heat and some time to unwind.

Hollywood’s hottest new talent knows where to find the heat.

5. Emma Thompson — Love Actually. Sauna Actually.

A Very British Friendship. With a Finnish Twist.

Emma Thompson has collected Academy Awards, BAFTAs and a remarkable list of film credits.

But one of her loveliest behind-the-scenes stories involves friendship, Scotland and a sauna.

While working together on Last Christmas, Thompson and Emilia Clarke developed a close friendship.

Their time together extended beyond the film set, including visits to Thompson’s Scottish home and playful sauna-and-stream outings.

It’s a reminder that sometimes the best celebrity stories aren’t about red carpets.

They’re about spending time with friends.

Love Actually? More like Sauna Actually.
